God
We believe in the One Holy, True, Just, and Living God who is the Creator, Provider, Sustainer and Giver of life. (Deut. 6:4; Is. 6:3; Jer. 10:10; Jn. 17:3; Is.40:28) He exists in His perfections and chose to reveal Himself to man through different revelations in history (Heb. 1:1). We believe God exists in a Trinity, being one and yet three in persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Mat. 3:16-17; Mat. 28:19-20; 2 Cor. 13:14). I believe that He is the “Great I Am” Who exists for all eternity (Ex. 3:14; Is. 57:15). We believe everything exists for His glory alone (Ps. 90:1; 104:31; Is. 6:3; 42:8; Mat. 6:13).
Bible
We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of God. I believe that this is one of God’s special revelations of Himself. We believe in the plenary, verbal, inerrant inspiration of the Word of God in its original manuscripts (John 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16). We believe that holy men of God were superintended by the Holy Spirit to write God’s revelation to man leading to the reliability of our copies of the Word of God today (1 Cor. 2:13; 2 Pet.1:21). We believe that all Scripture is profitable to fulfil God’s intended purposes for it (Ps. 119; Is. 34:16; 55:11; Eph. 1:13; Mat: 5:18).
Jesus Christ
We believe in the existence of Jesus Christ in history. I believe that Jesus Christ is the second person of the Godhead. I believe in His total Deity and total humanity (Lk 2:52, Jn. 5:18; 10:30 Phil. 2:5-8). We believe that He is the promised Redeemer, Holy One, and the fulfilment of the covenants given to Israel (Gen 3:15; 2 Sam. 7:16; Gal. 3:16). We believe He was born of a virgin and is the God incarnate (Mt. 1:20; Jn. 1:14). He lived a sinless life (Heb. 4:15). We believe that He was crucified to die for the sins of all humanity as the perfect sacrifice to appease the wrath of God upon sin. We believe that He was buried, and on the third day He resurrected granting victory upon death and sin (Rom. 8:3; 1Cor. 15:1-6). We believe that faith in Him alone is God’s exclusive provision for all mankind in all of time for salvation from the condemnation of sin (Jn.1:12; 3:16; 14:6). We believe that Jesus is now sitting on the right hand throne of God. He is fulfilling His duties as a Perfect High Priest for His people and as a Groom preparing a mansion for His bride (Jn 14:3; Mat. 16:18; Heb 2:18; Rom. 8:34). We believe that one day He will come again in all His glory to judge those who reject Him and to establish His reign on earth for all eternity (Jn. 5:27; Jd. 14-15; Rev. 19:11-16).
Holy Spirit
We believe in the existence of the Person of the Holy Spirit. We believe that He is the third person of the Godhead. We believe in His eternality and in His full Deity (Ps. 1139:7; Mat. 12:31-32; Acts 5:3-4; 28:25; Heb. 10:15-17). We believe that He existed and was fully involved in all of history. We believe that He is at work at every believer both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament (Gen. 1:2; 6:3; Ps. 104:30; Mic. 3:8; Dan.4:8 Lk. 4:1,18; Heb. 9:14; Zec. 12:10). We believe that the Holy Spirit came from God the Father and was sent by God the Son with the purpose of glorifying Jesus Christ. (Jn. 14:16; 16:7-11). We believe that after He was sent by Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, baptizes them into the body of Christ, gifts the members for ministry and fills them for living and service for the glory of God. (Jn. 16:12-15; Tit. 3:5; 1 Cor. 6:19: 1 Cor. 12:11-13; Eph.4:30). We believe He will continue to be at work till the end of history and beyond (Rev. 7:14; Jer. 31:31-34; Ezek: 36:27; Is. 11:2-3)
Angels, Satan, and Demons
We believe in the existence of angels. They are innumerable and are created for God’s intended purpose. They are God’s created spiritual beings to minister to Him and to His people (Ps. 91:11; 103:20; Is. 6:1-3; Heb. 1:14; Mk. 12:25; Lk 20:36; Mat. 18:10; Heb. 1:7). The greatest of these angels was Lucifer, the anointed cherubim (Ezek. 28:11-15; Is. 14:12-14). However sin was found in him and pride overcame his being (1 Tim. 3:6). Satan then lives in direct rebellion to the Almighty God. I believe Satan, in his rebellion, took a third of the angels to oppose God (Mt. 12:24; Rev. 12:4). These angels are judged by God out of heaven and are now called demons (Dan. 10:10-14; 2 Pet. 2:4; Jd. 6; Rev. 9:14; 16:13-16). Satan then tempted man to also rebel against God. He succeeded in this endeavour. He is the Great Deceiver, the god of this world, the father of lies, and etc (2 Cor. 4:4; 11:14; 1 Pet. 5:8; Rev. 2:10). We believe that presently there is a warfare going on with the angels of God against the demons of Satan. We believe that a day is reserved where Satan and his demons will be condemned to the lake of fire for all eternity (Mat. 25:41; 2 Pet. 2:4).
Man
We believe that man is God’s most special created being (Gen 1:27; 2:7 Mat. 19:4). Man exists in a dichotomy: material and immaterial with their many aspects (Gen. 1:26; 5:1 1 Cor. 11:7). Man was created perfectly in His image to have dominion over all of God’s created earth. Man then forsook this dominion and granted it to Satan when man sinned against God in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 3). Through the sin of the first man, Adam, death came. All of man was then marred by sin. Man became separated from his Creator and is now living in a fallen and cursed world. Because of sin, man must pay the wages of sin, the eternal condemnation and separation from the loving holy presence of God. Man’s only hope is in the God-Man, the Second Adam; Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:12-21; 1 John 3:4; Eph. 2:3; Rom. 1:18-3:20; 2 Cor. 5:21). Faith in Jesus alone can bring to life to the depraved, wretched and dead man (Eph. 2:8-9).
Salvation
We believe that God alone provided the way for the salvation for man. This way is only by God’s grace through faith in the second person of the God-head, Jesus Christ. This salvation is found in the Gospel, in the person and the work of Jesus Christ. Jesus came and died for the sins of all humanity, was buried and rose again on the third day, having seen by many witnesses (Mat. 20:28; 1 Pet. 3:18; Gal. 4:5; 1 Jn. 2:2 Rev. 5:9). We believe that salvation was all of God’s work and incentive. Salvation involves God’s sovereign election of His people (Eph. 1:4; 3-14; Rom: 8:28-30; Col. 3:12; Tit. 1:1). We also believe that man has the God-given free choice to either receive Christ or reject Him (Acts 16:31; 17:30; Jn. 6:29; Jn. 20:31). We believe in the exclusivity of salvation, and that none in all of history can ever be saved apart from faith in Jesus Christ alone (Rom. 10:9 Acts 13:39). We believe that man is saved in three aspects: from the punishment of sin, the power of sin and the presence of sin (Jn. 5:24; Rom. 6:11-23; 1 John 3:1-3).
Church
We believe that the Church is a called out assembly of Jesus Christ for Himself (Acts 20:28. The Church is the bride, the body, and the building of Christ (Rev. 21:2; Eph. 1:22; 5:23-32; Col. 1:18). The Church was a mystery in the Old Testament and was only revealed in Acts 2 (Mat. 16:18; Acts 11:15; Eph 5:32; Col 1:26). We believe that Jesus Christ paid for the redemption of the Church. In it, there are neither Jews nor Gentiles but one new body in Christ (Gal. 3:27-28). The Church has two aspects: the Universal church, and the Local church. The Universal church is composed of all believers of Christ, dead or alive, coming from the Pentecost up to the Rapture (Mat. 16:18; Heb. 12:23). The Local Church is a group of living believers gathering into one locality to worship and serve the Lord in that certain locality (1 Pet. 5:13; Rev 2:1, 8, 12. 18). One day, Jesus will call the church back to Himself in the rapture and will be judged by their works (1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor: 3:13-15; 2 Cor. 5:10). The Church will then return with Christ to judge the world in righteousness in His Second Coming (1 Cor. 6:3).
End Times
We believe that God has revealed his plans for the future in His Word. I believe there was and will be a literal fulfilment of all the prophecies written in the Bible. I believe in the pre-tribulational and premillennial return of Christ (Rev. 3:3; 16:15). The imminent Rapture will happen when the church is caught up with the Lord in the air, before the Great Day of the Lord begins (1 Cor. 15:51-57; 1 Thess 4:13-18; 5:9; Rev. 3:10; 2 Thess. 2:1-12). We believe that there will be a 7 year tribulation period where God will pour out His wrath on all of earth to judge man’s rebelliousness and rejection of Him (Dan. 9:24-27; Zec 14:3 Mat. 24:21; 25:31-46; Rev. 3:10). At the end of the 7 years, Jesus Christ Himself will come from heaven with His entire saints (Jd. 14; Rev. 19:11-16). Then, Jesus Christ will establish His kingdom for 1000 years, thus fulfilling all the unconditional covenants of God and resurrecting the saints to be with Him reigning forever (Dan. 7:14; Zec. 14:9-10; Jer. 30:9,21; Lk. 19:11-27; Rev 20. Satan will then be loosed and will be released to deceive for a little while to lead a final all-out war at the Armageddon against the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Fire will be sent to judge this army, and then Satan will be thrown to the lake of fire to be punished for eternity (Is. 66:15-17; Mt. 8:12; Rev. 21:8. We believe there will be a Great White Thrown judgment where God will judge all the unbelievers of history (Rev. 20:11-15). God then will establish a New Heaven and New Earth where the New Jerusalem will be (Is. 65:17-25; Rev. 21:1-22:7). This is where God Himself will dwell with His people and will consummate all of history for His glory, praise and honor.
